History

T D Williams was established in 1963 by Tommy Williams, when he took control of the a coal merchants, started by his father Selwyn in 1922.

Tommy went on to develop a general haulage business, and purchased the first articulated vehicle in 1974. The success of the road haulage eventually led to the disposal of the coal merchants in 1978. Focusing entirely on road haulage resulted in expansion into new markets to become one of South Wales’ largest and well known distribution companies, with sons Andrew and Robert at the helm.
